Check your Unit Settings, by doing the following:
Type Units in the command line
Check that the Insertion Scale is set to millimeters
Type Options in the command line
Click on the User Preferences tab
Check that the Insertion scale units are set to millimeters (in both boxes)
Re-insert shadowdraw block
Type units in the command line
Click on Direction
Select East
Click OK and then OK again
